Tsai, Dong-Han (b. 1997) is a young composer born and based in Taiwan, In 2019, He finished his Bachelor's degree, major in Music Theory and Composition, at Taipei National University of Arts where he began composing for student films and theatre.
He won the 3rd prize in 2012 National Student Competition of Music, and the 2nd prize in 2010 National Student Competition of Music. His Choirs work and Percussion work was selected to premiere at 2017 TNUA Chorus Spring-Summer Concert and 2018 TNUA Percussion Ensemble Fall-Winter Concert. He is one of the 2019 TNUA Emerging Young Artists winners.
Currently lives in Melbourne and working on a new project.

2019

-"Dilmano, Dilbero - Variations on a Bulgarian folk song" for Marimba, Piano and 2 Percussion Players, at "The Smile Is Its Sword" Huang. Wei-Hsin 2019 Percussion Recital, Elite Performance Hall, September 26.
-Music & Sound Designer of the stage reading "花盼物語" by playwright Gali Tu.
-TNUA Emerging Young Artists winner, premiered "My Wall I" for 9 Musicians at the concert.
-Scoring and songwriting for musical short film "淡水情歌" directed by David Hoe.
-2019 Dong-Han Tsai Composition Recital at TNUA Experimental Theatre.
-Scoring for short film "搬家" directed by Kun-Hou Teng.

-"Dust in the Wind" was commissioned by Phonon Wind Ensemble at Hualien Performance Hall.
-"BEYOND SILENCE" was premiered by National Hualien Senior High School (HLHS) Percussion Ensemble at Hualien Performance Hall.

-"Poem of Wine" for percussion ensemble was commissioned for 2014 花創花酒節 opeing ceremony.
"告別藍衫" was selected to perform in HLHS graduation ceremony.
2013
-"BREAKTHROUGH" for body percussion was selected by HLHS Percussion Ensemble to compete for National Student Competition of Music.
-"時光" was selected to perform in HLHS graduation ceremony, and the orchestral version was performed in May 2013 & 2015 at Hualien Performance Hall.
